I just wanted to remind you,

You are amazing.

I'm not going to lie,

I'm not sure what type of art you enjoy creating.

Maybe it's photography,

or painting,

or jewelery-making,

or music,

or drawing,

or makeup,

or cosplay,

or needle-work,

maybe even multiple art-types,

But I just wanted to let you  know that you rock at it,

and,

I absolutely love your style~

Anyway, I also wanted remind you something.

Something very important,

and easy to forget...


..If you're feeling down,

or like you can't do your art well...


Maybe you're looking at other people's art right now,

and thinking  'why do I even bother?'

Stop it.

Stop it right now.

This very second.

Absolutely destroy that ridiculous train of thought,

and smother those negative voices. 

Because, at the end of the day,

all artists draw differently,

there is 'no wrong way' or terrible art,

everyone is always improving and evolving,

for every drawing or comic or meme, you can find at least one person, if not more, that enjoys what you created. 


And if you truly enjoy the escape that is the arts, then you shouldn't let anyone else's skill level bring you down. 

Focus on that moment,

from a ten minute drawing,

to a week-long project,

when you're lost in the words,

or the sights,

or the strokes,

or the colors

or the movement.

when the world around you fades in the best of ways, illuminating the joy within yourself,

and you can't help but smile.

Focus on that passion,

that feeling of pure happiness and escapism.


Hold on to that,

enjoy that,

savor it~




So next time you're starting to feel that you're not good enough,

or you're thinking of throwing in that proverbial towel,

Please don't compare yourself to others,

every individual is unique and has their own way they approach and view the world...

You can see that in people's art,

Just think,

if everybody just gave up,

because they weren't as 'good' as someone else,

We wouldn't have such  wonderful arts~





Being different,

seeing things from different points of views,

individual expression,

that overwhelming pull to create something out of a blank page,

or canvas,

or to stop the silence.

That feeling to open someone's eyes,

or move freely,

that makes you an awesome artist,

And it's what makes the arts so diverse!


So,

on behalf of everybody who has looked at your art,

heard your art,

maybe even tasted it,

or worn it,

and thought about just how great it is,

or smiled like an idiot,
